Forgiveness

Put ye on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, the bowels of mercy, benignity, humility, modesty, patience: Bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against another: even as the Lord hath forgiven you, so you also. But above all these things have charity, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of Christ rejoice in your hearts, wherein also you are called in one body: and be ye thankful.” (Colossians 3:12-15)

PRAYER

My Lord Jesus Christ, rich in mercy and infinite in love, I come before You with a wounded heart. I ask that Your Holy Spirit gently illumine every hidden place within me where hurt still lingers, that I may be healed by Your truth and grace. Grant me the grace to forgive, not by my own strength, but through the power of Your mercy working within my soul.

Pour Your peace into my heart, loosening every burden, softening every wound, and restoring all that has been harmed by unforgiveness. Lead me step by step, O Lord, teaching me to walk in truth, humility, and charity. Heal those whom I have wounded, and grant me the grace to seek forgiveness where it is needed. May Your healing be complete, deep, and enduring, so that my heart may rest wholly in You.

Amen.
